Does it show my age if I say I can remember most of these? :)
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at #48 & #66 ... I loved the rings of my grandmothers party line (hers was two short and one long) ... and I can still remember the phone number of my childhood (with a word prefix).
Nice memories!

ReplyDeleteTo get the picture BEHIND the words in your header
ReplyDeleteYou can go to the blogger layout, and edit your header, it allows you to upload picture, and then write text which can be overlayed on it.
I am sure other image editors, or even powerpoint allows you to do this

That is a great list! Things seemed a hell of lot simpler and pure in those times!
ReplyDeleteI think I will sit down in a dark room and fix myself a hot toddy and remember a few more!
Think about how nice it was to be able to get on a 5 cent bus in San Francisco and go downtown to Market ST which is now filled with derelicts and bums, an visit (for me) radio stores. I'm sure it was the same in other large cities....
How times change.
Thanks for sharing this. I remember all of them. I think I'm a bit older than you. Nice to be reminded of these things.
